Descriptions:
With WinSCP you can connect to SSH servers using secure connections such as SCP (Secure Copy Protocol) or SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol), thus fully protecting the data transferred in those connections.
WinSCP is very easy to use thanks to its interface, which you can use with the standard format of Windows File Explorer or Total Commander style, that is, with two windows (one for the local disk and one for the remote PC).
You can perform all kinds of operations on the remote machine almost like on your own PC: basic commands for working with files, search and replacement utilities, etc. You can also use an integrated editor and transfer files from one PC to another simply by dragging them with the mouse.
WinSCP guarantees the security of your connections and if you want, generates a log with all the activities carried out by the program.
Characteristics:
- Graphical interface (GUI)
- Available in several languages
- Integration with Windows (drag & drop, URL, shortcuts)
- Support of common file operations.
- Support of SCP and SFTP protocols over SSH-1 and SSH-2
- Support for scheduled operations (batch), scripts and command line interface.
- Directory synchronization in several ways, semi or fully automated.
- Integrated text editor
- Authentication support using SSH passwords, keyboard-interactive method, public key or Kerberos (GSS)
- Integrates with Pageant (PuTTY SSH Agent) to provide full authentication support through public key
- Interfaces similar to Windows Explorer (single panel) or Commander Norton (dual panel).
- Optionally it is possible to save the session information.
- Possibility of storing the configuration of the program in a configuration file instead of in the Windows registry, which facilitates its use from portable units, such as USB and GVC disks.
